We had an excellent meeting on 3rd June despite the absence of club President Ben! We had 17 members present plus 1 guest.
Organisation
The meeting was well run by Toastmaster of the Evening Cezar who kept the meeting on track and on time. Andrei gave us a novel non-joke for Joke of the Day, but nevertheless got us all laughing merrily with his warmer. And Ivan gave us ‘habits’ as his word of the day – a simple word that was appropriate for the evening.
Speech training
Radu gave his ‘Ice Breaker’, Jörg spoke about ‘Habits’ and Olaf told us about ‘The benefits of a brother’.
Bertalan was Table Topics Master, then came the Evaluators’ reports from Mirja, Iris and Barbara.
Administration and Support During the Meeting
New member Richa was Timer, Ivan was Grammarian, and we closed with Mirja as General Evaluator.
Small club, big sense of shared fun
The meeting was closed in good time and a good-sized contingent moved to ‘Schönhauser’ for refreshments.
Next Meeting
Half of our next meeting, on 17th June, will be given over the the election of a new committee. Guests are always welcome, and we hope they will be patient with us as we set the club leadership in place for another successful year.
